Student Ministry Purpose Statement

Our goal is to fulfill God’s Commission to “make disciples” by helping teenagers encounter God through a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ, teaching them how to discover God’s will for them by walking with Him, and equipping them for the life-long journey of advancing His kingdom.

Wednesday Nights

All 7th-12th graders are invited to come and join us for a fun, focused youth worship service. The youth worship service runs from 6:05 PM to 7:15 PM, followed by a hangout time with pizza and “Jungle Pong” that lasts until 8:00PM. We meet in the upstairs center room in the Education Building (across Pleasant Ridge from Sanctuary).

Sunday Nights: “Word of Life”

The Sunday night schedule for teens is focused on discipleship. Word of Life meets from 4:30 - 6:00 PM in the upstairs of the new Education Building.  It begins with a large group worship time and study, followed by small group application and encouragement.

Disciple Now

Disciple Now is a weekend event in February where groups of students meet in the homes of church members for discipleship studies. The studies themselves are led by trained adult leaders with the goal of beginning or strengthening the ongoing process of discipleship in each student’s life. This event includes several large group worship rallies with a guest speaker and a recreation time on Saturday afternoon.  This is a DO NOT MISS event for our students and their friends.

Ski Trip

Every other Spring the students participate in a Spring Break Mission Trip. Our next Youth Mission Trip will be to Biloxi, MS for World Changers in March of 2010.
